I used this 2 years ago with my daughter, I am looking forward to this application. This version is great to take to the hospital to show the nurses and is very accurate.

It does track contrActions, but no ability to delete a single record, and if you try to check the delete history options, youll be surprised by losing all you data without a warning or anything! One small slip of your finger and you could lose your data. Anyhow, only played with it for a short time, but paid for another with far more refinement and functionality and deleted this one.
Handy for keeping track of contractions, averaging time and intensity etc., but the CONSTANT badgering to post all of this information to Facebook, without a working disable option, makes this application more aggravating than helpful. You will have to wade through multiple "Cancels" just to get back to the "Contraction Start" screen. Lame.
Im really glad one of my friends pointed me to this app. My girlfriend has been having contractions since last night and weve been using Contraction Master to monitor the progression. The app is very well done and has just the right amount of features. Not enough to get lost, just enough to review anything that happened. Very well designed. If I could pay for it again (a few times) I would :-) Its more than worth the 2$. Thanks a lot to Bill Snebold Design! I just checked the other reviews. 1) the Facebook badgering seems to be gone. I didnt even realize we could post to FB. 2) you can also delete single events if you mis-clicked the start button. Just the usual pattern: swipe sideways on an event and confirm by clicking the "delete" button that appears. You can even edit a single event, if you didnt start it on time.
Used this for my first LO and worked like a charm online, I was able to easily display results for my doctors when I needed to. Cant wait to use the iPod Touch App for my second LO. This will be a lot easier than carrying my laptop around with me, while I am having contractions.
The interface of this app is nicely laid out. However, every time I go to view the History, the app crashes. So, it is basically useless to me. Another downside is that you cannot start timing a contraction, exit the app and come back to the app to end timing the contraction.
The app shuts down when I try to access the history. The website advises to change your time zone settings to avoid this problem, but it has not remedied the bug. Ill have to keep using it on my laptop until they work that bug out. Hoping to see an update soon (ideally in the next three weeks)!
Just updated with the latest version and small issues with the earlier version seem to be gone. I highly recommend this application to anyone who is pregnant or has a pregnant wife or girlfriend. This is a great, handy tool that works great on the iphone!
Good for tracking contractions, but its missing a way to track intensity or leave a note, and also to give you a summary of averaging x contractions in an hour and x duration. I had to buy another app to get all the features after I went to L&D and they asked for the above info.
My wife is in labor and I just purchased this app from the iTunes store for our iPod touch. Downloaded fine (running 2.1.2 OS), touch the icon, it brings up splash screen for about five seconds then disappears and takes you back to the main iPod menu. Very disappointing, dont have time to deal with software support when Im trying to time contractions!!!!!
Needs confirmation on clear history (are you sure?) and also needs a way to delete specific items from the list, in case of an accidental press. Otherwise foes as advertised.
This app worked great for timing my contractions. I also love the ability to email the history to yourself to save for later. Its really neat having a complete record from the moment I went into labor to show my daughter when she gets older. Ill use this again for my next pregnancy. Worth the money.
Needs a confirm delete history button hello.....deleted all the history in one swipe. Also needs to move the clear history button away from the top left where many other programs have their back button.
Im eagerly waiting for an update. The whole app is amazing. You can send the history by email... Its simple and soothe looking BUT you can easily erase your history unintentionally in the blink of an eye cos it doesnt ask to confim. Not to mention that the button is placed right where most Apps place their "back" button. Because of this the whole app becomes useless. Cant really rely on it. In a few weeks, when Ill really get to need it, if no update comes, Ill be buying something else. Sad, cos I dam like to press those bright pink colored buttons.
Used by my wife and myself to time her contractions. She was in labor for about 6 hours and the app really helped us determine when we needed to head to the hospital as we live about 40 minute away from it. Having an accurate way of keeping track of the contractions and how often they happened was indispensable and this app worked perfectly for that. Highly recommended.
Must have.
I was in labor for three days. This app was a lifesaver. Easy to use. Good to look at frequency and duration. Will use again if/when in labor again!!
This was quick and convenient, but it crashed several times. Since it would crash and not record the latest contraction, it through off the frequency data making it pretty useless.
Same here. Crashed over and over again and would not record the data. Before the update everything was fine.
This app works very well. Now I have a 3 day old baby. Do you make a diaper changing app?
